The Council of Forensic Medicine of Turkey (ATK)’s profiling software on twitter users is among the official documents of the institution. It is claimed that Ali Turksen published a list of profiling made with this software.

BOLD – The Council of Forensic Medicine of Turkey developed a witch hunt tool to profile twitter accounts. The software was developed by Ismail Eren who works as an Electronics Engineer at the Council. The tool he developed for the council is called ” Automatic detection by Machine Learning of Gulen movement affiliated twitter user”
Last month, Ergenekon trials suspect, former Staff Colonel Ali Turksen and Oda TV published three separate lists of tapped Twitter users. Turksen deleted the profiling lists from the intense reactions from names of journalists and human rights. However, the list is in perfect similarity that developed by the Council of Forensic Medicine.
IT IS ONE OF THE ACCEPTED PROJECTS OF THE COUNCIL
The Software was listed as an accepted project will be presented next year approved by the Council. Council organizes annual ” Forensic Days”. This year it was held 16-28 October in Antalya.
The developed profiling software to tapped twitter accounts is one of the accepted projected that announced on the Council’s official website. The project listed as P7 (Project 7) as named Automatic detection by Machine Learning of Gulen movement affiliated twitter user” by Ismail Eren, Electronic Engineer at the Institute. The software reveals twitter accounts by using various algorithm mechanism. The Software targets Twitter accounts affiliated with the Hizmet Movement.
SECOND AFTER INFAMOUS FETOMETER
A similar profiling software was used by Turkish Armed Forces called ” Fetometer” The software is used for various parameters such as profiling and identifying military officers, officer at abroad, NATO background, Achievements in Turkish Arm Forces, and Hizmet Movement affiliated and relatives. With this software, thousands of military officers were expelled from the Turkish Armed Forces. The Council of Forensic Medicine is not a legal agency to gather intelligence information. Profiling is as a criminal act for all institutions under the constitutional law. However, Ismail Eren’s software is accepted and approved as a Council’s projects to be presented in ” Forensic Day” program.
The General Directorate of Security had launched a similar software for people abroad. The tool was developed especially for Turkish expatriates living in Germany, has also sparked a debate on the profiling issue in Germany. The software, which had a mobile application, aimed at uploading and insert in the system the names, addresses, and photos of expatriates, affiliated with Gulen movement and Kurdish Movement.
CLAIMS THAT THREE OF PROFILING OBTAINED FROM THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPED BY ATK
First of all, the tapped list relating to the witter account was published by ODA tv. Then, in September 2, a list named, “account by account Gulenist Soldiers” news including tapped former military officers who were expelled from their job under decree-law were one by one profiled. The common feature between profiled twitter account in the file was that they all raised questions about July 15, coup attempt.
SECOND PROFILING LIST IS FROM ALI TÜRKŞEN
One of suspect of the Ergenekon trials, Ali Turksen published two separate lists the other day. The first list titled ” Social Media Accounts of FETO/PDY”. The second list was social Media accounts/ journals of FETO/PDY After July 15 who are conducting perception operation.
There were Journalists such as Ece Sevim Ozturk and Historial Natali Avazyan names also included in the list.
We asked the council whether the Council do profiling the twitter accounts or not, there still no response from the council of Forensic Medicine of Turkey.
