The case against 19 Turkish citizens who attacked Gulen movement affiliated individuals and institutions was accepted by the court the other day. Being accused of hate speech,19 Turkish were sent to courts of general criminal jurisdiction in Belgium.
BOLD – 19 Turkish were brought to courts due to their hate speech against Gulen Movement affiliated FEDACTIO and GOUDEN MERIDIAAN foundations in Belgium following July 15.
The trial was held in Gent court. 14 defendants out of 19 suspects found guilty of inciting hatred and hostility in public and five were found guilty of threating and vandalizing building, hate graffiti on private properties. At the end of the hearing, they were all sent to a high court of general criminal Jurisdiction of Gent. The final result of the court will be announced in two weeks.

Belem TV’s use of hate language while reporting the case of 19 suspects drew attention. As it is stated that, there is going to be a criminal complaint against Belem TV for using the terrorist label in their news report. Before this case, Eren Erdem, the editor of the EHA media was sentenced to 365 days in prison for using the FETO the acronym used only by the Turkish government to designate Gulen Movement as a terrorist organization after July 15, a coup attempt.
